Posts Carousel Block
The Posts Carousel Template defines the HTML structure and content displayed within the Gutenberg editor for the Posts Carousel Block. It is responsible for displaying a heading, an optional excerpt, an optional call-to-action, and a carousel of recent posts.
Content Editor Fields
Heading
- Description: The main heading text displayed above the posts carousel.
- Usage: Use this field to provide a clear title for the section.
- Optional: If no heading is provided, this element will not be displayed.
Excerpt
- Description: A short description or paragraph of text displayed below the heading.
- Usage: Use this field to provide more context or information about the posts carousel.
- Optional: If no excerpt is provided, this element will not be displayed.
Call-to-Action (CTA)
- Description: A call-to-action element, which can be a link or a button.
- Usage: Use this field to encourage the user to take a specific action.
- Optional: If no CTA is provided, this element will not be displayed.
Articles
- Description: A list of articles to be displayed in the carousel.
- Usage: Use this field to select the articles to display.
- Mandatory: This field is mandatory. If no articles are selected, the block will not display any article.
Image
- Description: An optional background image for the block.
- Usage: Use this field to select a background image.
- Optional: If no image is provided, there will be no background image.
Example Usage:
Steps:
- Add the block: Insert the Posts Carousel Block into your page or post.
- Fill the fields:
- In the block settings, fill the "Heading" field.
- In the block settings, fill the "Excerpt" field.
- In the block settings, fill the "Call-to-Action" field.
- In the block settings, select the articles in the "Articles" field.
- In the block settings, select the image in the "Image" field.
- Save the Block: Your Posts Carousel block is now ready for display!
Result:
When properly configured, the Posts Carousel Block will render a section with a heading, an optional excerpt, an optional call-to-action, and a carousel of articles. Each article will display its publication date, title, and a "Read now" link.
