JTAPE Seal Wrap, also known as crash wrap or collision wrap, provides fast, temporary protection for vehicles with broken windows or exposed bodywork after an accident. Crash wrap is a temporary, self-adhesive protection film, and it is not the same as permanent paint protection film (PPF).

Description

JTAPE Seal Wrap provides essential, temporary protection when vehicle damage leaves interiors exposed and vulnerable. Exposed interiors can suffer rapid damage from rain, debris and ongoing stress fractures, but this temporary wrap helps contain the problem and prevents broken glass from shattering further.

Applied to cracked glass, damaged panels, roofs or lights, it forms a protective seal that guards against further damage and shields vehicles stored outdoors while they await assessment, transport, or a permanent repair.

HOW TO USE SEAL WRAP

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is crash wrap used for?

Seal Wrap, also known as crash wrap or collision wrap, is used to temporarily seal and protect damaged areas of a vehicle after an accident. JTAPE Seal Wrap keeps out rain, wind and debris while the car is awaiting repair or transport.

How do you temporarily cover a broken car window?

To temporarily cover a broken car window, apply JTAPE Seal Wrap over the opening and press it firmly along the edges to create a secure seal. The film sticks to glass, paint and trim, and can be applied to the inside as well for a double layer, protecting the interior until permanent repairs can be made.

Can crash wrap be used in the rain?

Yes, JTAPE Seal Wrap (crash wrap) is designed to hold in rain, wind and general outdoor exposure, making it ideal for emergency sealing after damage. Its strong but removable adhesive keeps the film in place while preventing further weather-related deterioration.

Will Seal Wrap leave residue on paint?

No. JTAPE Seal Wrap (crash wrap) uses a water-based acrylic adhesive that grips securely but removes cleanly without leaving residue on paint or glass. It is engineered for temporary protection, so it will not damage the surface when applied and removed correctly.

How long does temporary protection film last?

Seal Wrap is intended for short-term use while a vehicle awaits repair, transport or assessment. It is built for temporary protection rather than long-term coverage, so the window or panel should be repaired as soon as practical. JTAPE Seal Wrap includes a UV inhibitor to help it hold up to outdoor exposure in the meantime.

Is crash wrap the same as PPF?

No. Crash wrap (Seal Wrap) is a temporary film for damage control after an incident, while paint protection film (PPF) is a permanent, professionally fitted film that protects undamaged paint for cosmetic reasons. They are different products for different jobs.
