Automechanika 2016 Review

With a record 4,820 exhibitors at the show, we, JTAPE, exhibited at our 7th Automechanika Frankfurt this September, as was once again, it was another success for our company. Over 136,000 visitors from over 170 different countries visiting the Frankfurt exhibition in 2016 and as always, we saw a great response to the demonstrations and product innovations on our stand.

Attracting visitors to the stand we our 5 custom built demonstration units, showing 5 different products on each one, across the 9m width. To complement our demonstrations, we also had inbuilt tablet devices, showing product application videos for each specific product, giving passers-by a chance to overview what each products’ purpose was.

Launching our new and improved Alloy Repair Mask, we also had a 22” Jaguar XE alloy wheel for product demonstrations. JTAPE 1095, 170cm x 170cm, improved product, can now mask up to 26” wheels and possesses a new recipe of corona treatment, maximising the adhesion of paint to the film during re-spraying.

A custom painted helmet, by PaintNation, still masked one side and complete the other, accentuated the large array of multi-colour design jobs achievable with our extensive customising, fine line and pinstriping tape range.

Maximising paint coverage on all jobs is not always easily achieved, especially with poor coverage colours. The second product was launched at this year’s Automechanika Frankfurt 2016, was our Paint Control Tape. A simple, cost effective, premium printed checked masking tape that features an easy to check spray pattern. Paint Control Tape enables you to monitor perfect paint opacity and thickness during all jobs.

Finally, our Parking Sensor Masking Discs. This product is a quick and efficient way of masking integrated parking sensors for the majority of vehicles. Our adhesive cover protects the parking sensors throughout the repair process, preventing damage from sanding, painting and polishing, without having to remove the bumper on the vehicle. Overall, we had a great response with this product on the stand as it aids in stopping the contamination of any sensors on the vehicle whilst still avoiding any lacquer bridging after clearcoat application.

Overall, we would like to thank all visitors, exhibitors and customers alike for visiting the JTAPE stand. We have started to follow up enquiries however, if you have an urgent request, please contact us via the details below.

Once again, thank you for a great show and see you in Frankfurt, 2018!
