About the position

An exciting opportunity for a motivated Area Sales Manager who has experience within the collision repair industry. Ideally situated on the East Coast, you will be a professional who can quickly absorb and retain product knowledge. The role covers a large geographical area of Eastern America.  
What is the purpose of this job?
To ensure delivery of forecasted annual sales volumes, business mix and margin targets through effective account and agency management for the JTAPE Brand in assigned area of responsibility.
What are the primary duties of this role?
  • Effective demonstration and sale of the benefits of the products at bodyshop level.
  • Provide sales and technical support to WD and jobber accounts and existing agency representation. Develop relationships throughout the agencies and customers to support and promote the growth of JTAPE.
  • Execute actions outlined in current business plan leading to the attainment of sales and margin targets.
  • Work with and assist distributor sales and technical teams to grow SOW within each organization by collectively doing shop fieldwork to convert them to JTAPE.
  • Collect data on Jobber locations & Collision Repair Shops including names, emails, addresses to allow effective direct marketing.
  • Input of data into the JTAPE CRM system, currently NetSuite.
  • Training of agency & jobber reps and technical teams in benefits and USPs of the JTAPE product range.
  • Analysing sales figures from monthly reports and acting on findings.
  • Identify opportunities across product groups achieving a good mix.
  • Identify new distribution opportunities across product groups to aid achieving good product mix and distribution network.
  • Support JTAPE and local manufacturers’ representatives at local, regional, and national shows.
  • Promote and develop sales of new products.
  • Directly manage the support and actions of agency reps in area of responsibility.
  • Provide Market and competitor insight feedback to the Senior Management Team ensuring full awareness of potential growth opportunities or concerns with any area of the business.

Skills and qualifications

Essentials to the job:
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Automotive Refinish experience
  • Communication skills
  • Willingness & ability to travel as needed to execute responsibilities.
