JTAPE’s unique flat profile Seam Sealing Tape can be used to replace or repair the seams on automotive door skins and flanges. The reinforced clear acrylic foam tape features a high-tack acrylic adhesive and HDPE release liner to support efficient application and repositioning as needed.

Thanks to its strength and durability, it offers excellent resistance to solvents, chemicals, UV and heat. All this allows the tape to bond securely to a very wide range of substrates and prevent moisture from seeping into the seams of a vehicle, making it an ideal alternative to standard automotive seam sealers. Seam Sealing Tape is very flexible and easy to apply even in the trickiest of places. Once in place, it can be painted without the need for an adhesion promoter.

How to use

Step 1: After cleaning the area thoroughly and working out where it needs to be applied, you can remove the release liner and begin attaching it, making sure not to stretch the tape since this can lead to uneven application.

Step 2: Once you’re happy, you can take a razor or sharp knife to cut to shape and remove any overhanging excess.

Step 3: Press down the tape applying even amounts of pressure to each area to secure it in place. You can then begin the painting process immediately after application.
