The Rolls Royce Swept Tail is the Most Expensive Custom Car Ever

Even a small customisation to a car can help to make it more individual and tailor it to our personality, but just imagine what you could achieve if money were no object and you had access to the finest automotive craftsmen in the world.

At JTAPE we’re proud of how our products have been used in some of the world’s most amazing customisation projects and shown that fabulous results are possible using just paints, parts, and of course, top quality automotive masking tape products.  But even with our experience of the car customisation results our customers have achieved, the world’s most expensive custom car – the Rolls Royce Swept Tail is enough to turn our heads.

One of a Kind

With a bespoke design based on the already exclusive Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe chassis and powered by the 6.75L V12 Phantom VII engine, the Swept Tail shows what is possible when no expense is spared.

Rolls Royce Sweptail

Commissioned by its owner, and with a rumoured cost of more than £12 million, the Rolls Royce Sweptail is the only one of its kind in existence.  Every aspect of the beautiful car has been individually manufactured for the project.

One-of-a-kind features including the world’s largest Rolls Royce front grille which was milled from a single piece of aluminium and hand polished to a mirror finish.

According to Rolls-Royce head of design, Giles Taylor who oversaw the project, “Sweptail is the automotive equivalent of haute couture.”  With a design inspired by the 1934 Streamline, the Sweptail echoes a racing yacht thanks to the way the rear fins meet in a bullet tip that houses the brake light.

The interior of the Sweptail takes the car to a new level.  From the Macassar Ebony and Paldao trim through to the way the centre console conceals a bottle of champagne and two glasses, attention to detail is at the heart of the car’s design – a one of a kind customisation for a very lucky customer.
