To ensure that the tape adheres to the surface, wash and dry the car thoroughly, making sure that there is no dust or grime on the surface.
Using a high-quality masking tape, mask off edges and areas you want to protect such as around windows, emblems, or trims. To prevent leaks, make sure that there aren’t gaps or wrinkles.
Unroll the plastic sheeting from the dispenser and cut off a piece slightly bigger than the area you need to cover. Drape the plastic sheeting over the area and use your masking tape to secure it. Trim off the excess using a knife or scissors.
Double-check that the areas you wish to cover are covered sufficiently. Don’t be afraid to reinforce particularly troublesome areas with added material.
After your work is complete, carefully peel off the masking tape and plastic sheeting. Pull the tape back over itself at a low angle to leave a residue-free finish.
